AusIMM Underground Operators Conference 2021 Review
Last week, AMPS and LiveMine had the opportunity to attend AusIMM’s Underground Operators Conference in Perth to discuss important changes and solutions for the future of underground mining.
The UGOPS conference is held every 3 years, but was unfortunately postponed in 2020 due to COVID-19. The program covered key discussion topics on new mining technologies, innovative mining methods and practices, workplace health and safety, revolutionising the traditional mine and much more!
Highlights of the event included:
- Over 1,000 mining representatives and professionals
- Over 45 technical presentations
- Three internationally recognised keynote speakers; Knut Garshol, Roy Slack, and Gary Zamel
- Conference dinner sponsored by Byrnecut Australia, with keynote speaker Dr Craig Challen, SC, OAM
- A very busy booth and a lot of interest in AMPS and LiveMine!
AMPS and LiveMine had many great discussions with new and exciting clients and we look forward to the next event in Brisbane 2023!
